-Master Neale White - Owner and Head Instructor
Master White began his Martial Arts training in 1970
while living in the Panama Canal Zone. He trained with
Prospero Ellis, 4th Dan, a student of Master Chun Sik
Kim. Upon graduation from Oklahoma State, Master White
moved to Connecticut in 1978. There he continued his
training with Master Chae Bok Rhee and earned his Black
Belt in Tae Kwon Do in 1980. Master White has earned
many championships in the 1980's and 1990's in local
and national tournaments and the respect of his peers.
Master White was WTF certified and promoted to
5th dan on March 5, 2004. He was promoted by
WTF Master Edward Mezereski, 6th dan of EastCoast Tae
Kwon Do, in Bridgeport, formerly Chae Rhee Tae Kwon
Do.
Neale and Erika White met in 1982 while
training with Grandmaster Chae Rhee. Through their passion
for Tae Kwon Do and a commitment to a healthier lifestyle,
they continued training and opened the American Institute
of Tae Kwon Do in 1991. By now, married with children
and realizing the many benefits of Tae Kwon Do, one
by one, their children began their training. By 2003
all 4 four of their children had earned various levels
of black belt. Tae Kwon Do had not only given the White
family a sense of personal accomplishment but also has
maintained a strong family bond between them. We continue
and have always promoted family unity and have encouraged
parents to train along side their children.
Throughout the years we've also trained children with
ADD and we're proud to say many of these children went
on to earning their black belts. Because Tae Kwon Do
gives children the ability to focus and concentrate,
each student benefits by improving their memory and
study habits. Teaching self control when executing kicks
and punches also teaches about controlling tempers.
One important life skill that our children and students
have learned is about goal setting. In Tae Kwon Do,
the goal is black belt. Through a systematic process,
we teach kids to work hard for their goal and never
give up.
The White's continue their Tae Kwon Do training at the Grayson location since 2007. Eldest daughter Brittany, 3rd dan Black Belt, is a graduate of Kennesaw State University with a degree in Nursing, Katie, 3rd dan Black Belt, is in her 3rd year at Georgia Tech studying Industrial Engineering, Christina, 3rd dan Black Belt is a Sophmore at Kennesaw State University studying Anthropology, and Johnny, 2nd dan Black Belt is a Junior at Grayson High School.
